Kraus Cave – a world of dripstones and sparkling gypsum crystals
After noticing the fascinating dripstones – the stalagmites and stalactites -, the white gypsum crystal columns will certainly catch your eye. They represent a phenomenon throughout Styria.
The Kraus Cave consists of an entrance area – the Elysium – and a main hall. Besides the gypsum crystal forms and the formation of dripstones and moonmilk, you can discover special forms of sinter formations and moulds which can usually only be spotted in mines.
