Water World and Apple Valley

Wildalpen Package

Wildalpen is not the kind of place you just end up in by accident.
However, if you make it down B 24, which runs north of the Hochschwab mountain range, you will be amply rewarded.
Nestled in one Austria’s most extensive natural areas, there it is: Wildalpen, an Austrian community both charming and laid-back.

One of Wildalpen’s main attractions, its seed bank, has been established to preserve the many and diverse fruit varieties originating from meadow orchards. Featuring 5000 flora and fauna species, meadow orchards are considered hotspots for diversity.
Interested? Learn more about it on our 3-hour guided tour.

Don’t miss out on the Wildalpen SpringWater Museum either!
Since 1910, the Hochschwab mountain has provided the Federal Capital of Vienna with approximately 217,000 m³ of drinking water.
At the Kläffer springs (located at a 14-km distance from Wildalpen), you can even go behind the scenes and learn all about Vienna’s drinking water supply.
