GeoPfad – GeoDorf Gams
Starting at GeoRama (Citizen Service Point, Gams 145), the 5 km, mostly easy GeoPfad (“path”) is made up of 48 things to see and learn. The path allows the visitor to get an understanding of the formation of Earth’s about 4.6 billion year-old-history. Starting at the so-called church quarter, the trail follows the Gams stream and ends at the spectacular Noth Gorge. On your way through the gorge, you’ll find further material illustrating the distinct geological features of the gorge and the region which turns it into a unique experience. Taking the old road back to the town centre, you’ll get back to where you’ve started your geological journey.
When to visit: The path is accessible from May to October, depending on the weather
